My First Video: How to Draw a Dog with Pastel

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve just uploaded my very first YouTube video, how to draw a dog with the pastel! It’s a time-lapse of me creating a pastel dog portrait, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.

The model of this portrait is a stunning German Shepherd-Chow Chow mix, a dog with a truly unique appearance. His orangish-brown fur has such a rich, warm hue, making the drawing process both challenging and enjoyable. What stood out to me the most were his striking amber-coloured eyes, radiating calmness and intelligence. As I worked, I tried to capture not just his physical features but also his personality—his serene focus on his owner, unwavering even when surrounded by distractions.

In this video, I’ve condensed the hours of work into a captivating time-lapse. From initial sketching to layering the vibrant pastel colours, all the way to the finishing touches that bring the portrait to life. Whether you’re a fellow artist looking for inspiration or simply someone who loves dogs, I hope you find it as enjoyable to watch as it was to create.

This project was a labour of love, and sharing it with the world feels like the beginning of something special. I plan to upload more content like this, so if you enjoy the video, don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe to my channel. Your support means the world to me as I embark on this creative journey.

Let me know what you think of the portrait and the video. Do you have any tips, feedback, or ideas for future content? I’d love to hear from you in the comments section below or directly on the video.

Thank you for watching, and stay tuned for more!
